Ahhhhh... [The sound of some sort of liquid relief can be heard, which probably doesn't make this entry all that pleasing to the ear. At least until the guy doing it starts to talk over it.] Let me get this straight.
I don't understand this fucking book, but there's a bunch of people talking through it. Unless this is some real crappy prank, guess I'm gonna have to do the same thing. How does this thing even work!? [Wait. He thinks he's got it.] One of you heathens answer this for me! What's the fucking deal with this place?
[There's a hesitant pause. It's enough of a pause to hear that he's finishing up his business.]
Y'know what? Forget that. Where's the nearest public bathroom? [That's where a bounty office might be, right?] Someone inside this book fucking spill it already! C'mon!

[Later after his amazing attempt at gathering information, Hidan can be found wandering inside of the village in his New Feather pants doing one of two things.
1) When he's not moving around in an attempt to figure out where he is and why he doesn't really believe anyone else about this place, he's sitting on a bench with his hand on his neck. His fingers comb over his stitches softly.
It's not the stitches that bother him, or the fact that he was supposedly buried alive moments before awakening here. No, that was thanks to Jashin.
His necklace was missing, and that was bothering him.
2) If you don't run into him at any of these two times, feel free to run into him while he was artfully making his original journal entry. Surely he wasn't in an actual bathroom at the time. Might have been near your house or something. He's a crude guy.]

Provided he finds those public bathrooms, that puts him in the village square. So that's where Shikamaru goes. First things first, he stops by the smithy and roots around until he finds those retractable spears he remembers Hidan having. He takes the ones he can find and seals them in a scroll. The scythe stands out on its own. He decides against taking it as well.
Hidan was fast, he remembers. With that scythe, even Kakashi had a difficult time keeping up with him, but he was faster still at the bounty station, when he had taken Kotetsu and Izumo's weapons. The scythe slows him down, but he'd definitely use it over anything else. It's best to take advantage of that.
He does take the chain, though.
After that, he goes outside and takes to the roofs. It's been almost three years since the Niju Shotai so he's rusty, but he'll be using a camouflage technique to hide his presence once he's picked a perch to watch from. Waiting.]

He is obviously upset that a large majority of his gear was missing, but not enough that he wasn't happy to finally have his scythe back in hand. Feels more alive with it.
Standing in the village center, Hidan just begins to take practice swings with the weapon. His shrill voice erupts into whatever silence that might be present, making no effort to conceal his little warm-up.
Still no clothes, though. Just the new feather pants.]

It rekindles that disgusting feeling in his gut again.
Shikamaru waits - the shadows will be long soon anyways. See where he goes first, and if he puts the scythe away before attacking. Just in case people show up unexpectedly.]

It was almost like he'd never see it again. And if he did, never be able to swing it again. Never able to draw blood. Never able to please Jashin.
But that all changes now. He's got his legs and body back in working order, and even though he's under-equipped, he's got the scythe and that annoying Konoha kid is nearby. All of the cards are stacking up in the right places.]
